Job (Position)
Director - Operations, O&M Services
About the Job
The incumbent will manage Site Operations globally and report to Vice President – O&M Services, Outotec of that country / region.
The job responsibilities include:
=> Developing and implementing global site operational model
=> Supporting Market Areas to manage O&M site operations
=> Giving support to O&M projects throughout the project and operations period
=> Managing and developing Operations Support Center
=> Developing and maintaining global partnerships in cooperation with Supply
Location
Global position (Location to be decided).
Eligibilities | Expectations
=> M. Sc / M. Tech degree in metallurgy or chemical engineering with solid working experience in production management level
=> Good knowledge of metallurgical and chemical processes and outsourcing maintenance services to service suppliers
=> Self-driven and organized working style with good management skills
=> Good understanding of customer's needs and mindset
=> Creative problem identification, conceptualization and analytical thinking skills
=> Fluent written and spoken communication skills in English and preferably also in Spanish

Outotec acquired lucrative Phosphorus recycling technology Business


Outotec of Finland is a worldwide technology leader in minerals and metals processing and a leading global provider of process solutions, technologies and services for the mining and metallurgical industries.
Outotec has strengthened its portfolio of environmental technologies through the acquisition of technology, trademarks and patents of ASH DEC Umwelt AG. This company based in Austria has developed a method to extract the recycled phosphorus fertilizer from ash which is a by-product of incineration of biomass/sludge. The ASH DEC process complements Outotec's existing biomass incineration solutions based on fluidized bed technology. The purchase price was not disclosed. Read More

Outotec ranked third best Nordic Company in Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP)


Mining and metal manufacturing equipment supplier Outotec of Finland has ranked the third best Nordic Company in Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) in the Carbon Disclosure Leadership Index, which is a key component of CDP’s annual Nordic 200 Report.

Outotec scored 90/100 in CDP ranking. CDP’s analysis is based questionnaire focused on greenhouse gas emissions, emission reduction targets and risks and opportunities associated with climate change. Companies are scored on their climate change disclosure and high scores indicate good internal data management and understanding of climate change related issues affecting the company. Outotec participated in the CDP for the first time last year and was commended for its climate change disclosure.

Outotec entered into an agreement with National Development Corporation of Mongolia to develop Mongolian mineral deposits


Outotec of Finland is a worldwide technology leader in minerals and metals processing and a leading global provider of process solutions, technologies and services for the mining and metallurgical industries. Outotec has entered into an agreement to cooperate with National Development Corporation of Mongolia (NDC) to conduct a conceptual study for a copper smelter to be located in Sainshand, Mongolia. NDC is a consortium of the largest Mongolian private sector companies seeking to contribute in the industrial development of the country. The cooperation agreement was signed during the visit of the President of Mongolia, Elbegdorj Tsakhia, to Finland. The Mongolian Government plans to build an industrial complex in Sainshand to add value to mineral deposits such as Oyu Tolgoi copper deposit and to diversify the economy.
